Electronic Cigarette FAQ

What is an electronic cigarette (E-Cigarette)?

The electronic cigarette is an electronic smoking device also known as E-Cigarette. It is a battery powered product that uses state of the art classy micro-electronic technology which provides smokers a real smoking experience without the flame, tobacco, tar, carbon monoxide, ash, 4,000+ chemicals, or smell found in real cigarettes.

Electronic cigarettes provide smokers with everything that makes smoking enjoyable without all the problems that come with traditional cigarettes. People use e-cigarettes for many reasons including; a healthier way to smoke, freedom to smoke anywhere and everywhere, no first or second hand smoke, no tobacco smell, non-flammable, convenient and cheaper than traditional cigarettes.

How does an e-cigarette work?

The E-Cigarette is driven by a micro-electronic technology. The e-cigarette body is made up of 3 parts: a nicotine cartridge, an atomization chamber, and a micro-processor with a lithium battery. In the front tip of the device there is an LED light, that lights up when you puff on the e-cig; this lets you know when the e-cig is working. The atomization chamber is what produces the vapor that looks like smoke. When you inhale, the atomizer turns on, heating up the nicotine liquid and producing vapor. The vapor is where you get the nicotine and flavor, with no tobacco smell.

What is in an e-cigarette cartridge and E-Juice?

An e-cigarette cartridge is composed of a mouth piece and cotton that holds the e-liquid (e-juice). The e-liquid is made up of Propylene Glycol, water, alcohol, and nicotine. Propylene Glycol is considered safe by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). Propylene Glycol is water soluble and used in medications, in foods as a preservative, and in fog machines. Propylene Glycol makes up 80-90% of the liquid. Depending on the flavor, there are small amounts of other ingredients to make the vapor taste good.

Is it cheaper to use e-Cigarettes or traditional cigarettes?

Most people will find that it is cheaper to use electric cigarettes over traditional cigarettes. This depends on how much someone smokes and how much they pay for a pack of cigarettes. There are tons of benefits of using an e-cigarette. If you just think of the health benefits of e-smoking combined with saving a little money, I think you will choose to use healthy electronic cigarettes.

Can I smoke Electronic Cigarettes anywhere I want?

Yes, you should be able to use your E-Cigarette everywhere, since it does not release real smoke (just harmless vapor), however, you may want to ask the owner of the place where you want to use your e-cigarette if it is okay. There is no law banning electric cigarettes. Tobacco products are banned, there is not tobacco in an e-cigarette.

What is Nicotine?

Nicotine is an alkaloid found in certain plants. When people think about nicotine they usually think about tobacco, but nicotine can be found in other plants such as potatoes, green peppers, tomatoes, and eggplants, of course the levels of nicotine found in these plants is much lower than tobacco.

When a person takes nicotine in small amounts it can cause stimulation, a relaxed feeling, calmness and alertness. These effects can last from minutes to hours. The current information about nicotine states that nicotine in itself does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties. This is why electronic cigarettes do not cause cancer. Nicotine is the only thing that E-Cigarettes and traditional cigarettes have in common. This is why electric cigarettes are healthier than traditional cigarettes. Some people have even called the electric cigarette the health cigarette.
